The leaders of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism from Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Hai Phong (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) signed a memorandum of talks. |
In a spirit of friendship, participants emphasized the special significance of 2025, marking the 75th anniversary of Vietnam–China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam–China Year of People-to-People Exchanges. The delegations agreed to uphold the motto of “16 golden words” and the spirit of “four goods,” strengthen political trust, and promote effective cooperation in culture and tourism, thereby elevating the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries to new heights.
The parties signed a five-year cooperation memorandum covering six key areas. One highlight is the agreement to co-host annual culture and tourism exchanges following the “Early Spring Meeting” of Party Secretaries from Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Hai Phong (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China), as well as the Joint Working Committee Conference. They also pledged to boost cross-border tourism development, create distinctive destinations, and seek approval for signing official cross-border tourism cooperation agreements.
Under the memorandum, Tuyen Quang plans to expand tourism programs for Chinese tour groups using border travel permits, guaranteed by international travel agencies. These groups would be allowed entry through provincial border gates, visit local destinations, and enjoy extended stays in accordance with Vietnamese law.
The delegation’s participation contributed to strengthening friendly cooperation between Tuyen Quang and Chinese localities, promoting the province’s tourism potential and products, fostering new partnerships, and advancing Tuyen Quang’s tourism development toward professionalism and deeper integration.
