To support farmers in production and product consumption, many localities across the province have proactively partnered with purchasing enterprises to sign product-offtake contracts. This approach not only helps farmers feel secure in production but also enhances the efficiency and economic value of local agricultural products.

In Tan My Commune, taking advantage of its key crops, the local authorities have coordinated with Cucumber Co., Ltd. to secure offtake contracts for cucumbers. The model has proven highly effective. In the 2025 crop, 54 households participated in cucumber cultivation on more than 8 hectares, earning a total value of VND 2.5 billion. Supported with technical guidance and guaranteed output, farmers are excited to invest in production. “With technical assistance, our cucumbers grow well and are ready for harvest after about two months with high productivity. The company purchases all our products, so we feel very secure,” said Ms. Quan Thi Nhung from Ban Chang Hamlet.

Beyond cucumber production, Tan My Commune continues expanding the linkage model to other crops. The commune has connected with Khanh Xuan Trading and Production Co., Ltd. to secure offtake contracts for corn. Thanks to the company’s commitment to purchasing all post-harvest products, farmers no longer worry about market access, thereby confidently investing in production and applying new techniques to improve yields and quality.

The linkage model has also proved effective in unexpected situations such as natural disasters. When the remnants of Storm No. 10 coincided with the harvest season of Phuc Trach pomelos in Xuan Van Commune, timely support enabled growers to harvest and sell all their produce before the storm hit. “Thanks to timely assistance and connection, my family sold all our pomelos before the storm made landfall,” said Mr. Tran Quang Bang from Soi Ha Hamlet.

Currently, the province has 78 value chains linking production and consumption of agricultural products. These linkages have brought tangible benefits by improving production efficiency, stabilizing markets, and increasing farmers’ incomes. Key local products, including oranges, pomelos, tea, cucumbers, and corn, have established strong brands and market positions both within and outside the province.

Promoting linkages in agricultural production and consumption is becoming a sustainable direction for agricultural development. This is not only an immediate solution to product marketing but also a long-term
