Viet Nam to meet Australia in semi-finals of AFF Women’s Championship 2025
With the Australian women's team taking second place in Group B, Viet Nam are scheduled to meet Australia in semi-finals of the AFF Women’s Championship 2025 at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong at 8:00 p.m. on August 16.

In the final match of Group B, the defending champion Philippines had to beat Myanmar to have any hope of reaching the semi-finals, but failed.
In the 33rd minute, Win Theingi Tun took advantage of the opponent's mistake of losing the ball, forcing goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel to commit a foul in the penalty area, successfully opening the score.
In the 71st minute, Mathelus easily finished to equalise the score 1-1 from Wyrzynski's accurate cross.
Despite creating more opportunities, both teams did not score more goals. This result helped Myanmar maintain the top position in Group B with 7 points, the Philippines ranked third and officially became the former champions. Australia won second place in Group B after a 9-0 victory over Timor-Leste.
In the two semi-final matches on August 16 at Lach Tray Stadium, Myanmar will meet Thailand at 4 p.m., while Viet Nam will face Australia at 8 p.m.
