The event, jointly held by the Standing Office of the Government’s Steering Committee for Human Rights and the Da Nang City People’s Committee, aims to promote the land and people of Viet Nam as the country serves as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2023-2025 term and seeks re-election to the 2026-2028 term.

Hundreds of photos on display are arranged into two main parts titled “Religion-Belief” and “Vietnamese ethnic communities”.

They capture daily life, festivals, and cultural or religious activities of the ethnic communities of Viet Nam across the country, including Vesak celebrations, the Dieu Tri Palace Festival, three-realm Mother Goddess worship, traditional Thai Xoe dancing, Ghe Ngo boat racing, and weddings of the Red Dao ethnic group.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Hoa Chi, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Government’s Steering Committee for Human Rights, stressed that the exhibition is a profound visual journey about religion, beliefs and cultural identity of Viet Nam — where human rights are guaranteed by traditional values.

The photos on display are not just a collection of images but also convey a message about humanity, solidarity, and integration, he added.
